Buy the hours.
The rate comes down as you do.
Blocks start at 120 hours at $85. Every further 40 hours takes three dollars off the hourly rate, down to $70 at 320 hours. There it stops: everything above 320 is priced at the same $70, off this card rather than off a negotiation.
Every block, every rate.
Totals are the block in full. The saving is measured against the same hours bought at the starting rate.
The whole of it.
Hours draw down as worked
Time is logged against the block as it is spent and you get the running balance with each report. When the balance gets low you hear about it with hours still on it.
The scope comes first
Before a block starts you get a written scope and the number. If the work changes shape, the scope changes in writing first.
Extending keeps worked hours where they were
Extend a running block up to the next rung and the new rate applies to the extension. Hours already worked stay billed at the rate they were bought at, in either direction.
Licences and cloud are yours
Microsoft licences, cloud spend and any third-party service the build needs stay in your accounts, in your name, billed to you directly. I do not resell them and I do not mark them up.
Tell me the work. I'll tell you the block.
Twenty minutes, no pitch. Describe what needs building or fixing and you get an honest read on which block it fits, or a straight answer that it does not need one.
